The code for me was u1016 not sure what it means vcm something I just bought this car the dealership said they wld have to run a diagnostic if u can tell me anything in laymen terms wld help do t kmow much about cars.thanks

U1016 Control module not communicating

The is communication that are set up between module such as radio module ,brake control module to door module, think of this as a set of computer hook together such as a printer to scanner to fax machine to telephone line and of of these devices does not communicate with each other or one device has no communication, in Your case it the same way.
