2010 Nissan Altima. Clamp slipped and radiator hose came off. After this was fixed and coolant added to radiator car started to get hot so it was pulled to side of the road. After turning off the engine and checking radiator again car will not start. Code P1217 is coming up. Can this be the cause of the engine cranking, but not starting?

The code may need to be cleared before the car can start again or the car will have to cool down alot before it can be started up again. You can try to disconnect the battery for 15min or so and then try to start the car up (if your battery if not drained already) if you tried to crank the car alot that may have drained the battery and you'll need to recharge battery or get a jump start.

After you start the car leave the heater runnings so it will remove the air from the coolant system.
