3.7 inches of rain in one day. I was driving home at night and went through deep water on the road at a pretty good rate of speed. Immediately, the check engine light came on and there was some hesitation upon acceleration. Went to auto parts store the next day to identify code...p0301. Seems to be running normal now, 2 days later. Could it have been the water?

Yes if water got sucked into the intake its possible it could set the light on. If the car is fine now there should not be a worry. Drive safe next time if alot of water gets into the engine at one time you can hydro lock your motor
