P0300 Pontiac -

Hi,
I have a Pontiac Pursuit 2006, 2.2 liter 4 door sedan.
Problem:
When start the engine:
Check engine light turns on and after less than a minute it starts blinking.
The engine has very low power
The engine is not working properly, it shakes.
The error code P0300 was detected be the first check
Based on the second check with a bigger ECM check unit( I don't know the name) a mechanic said, it could be either the catalyst sensor or gasket problem
But the engine temp is not abnormal.
No other warning light on the dash is on

P0300 Random misfire,

A misfire is when 2 and more cylinder are not contributing, and when the check engine light flashes it is a damaging catalytic condition, a engine evaluation needs to be performed, such as compression to determin if the head gasket at fault, Or intake manifold gasket, If the engine is in good condition the fault will then be from the ignition coil module and a replacement will be required.
