2007 gmc seirra code p2135

Question

Gmc dealer says I need throttle body cover kit(?) and only $50. Plus outrageous labor.the auto part store said they only have throttle body. Not a cover kit.ive done some research and not sure that is for sure what i need. Any suggestions on what I can do first. It reducing engine power making simple trips annoying.

P2135 Throttle position sensor (TP) sensor 1-2 correlation

The problem you have is a correlation of the TP which is located in the throttle body, These sensor do wear out and a replacement of the throttle body is necessary,If you do repalce the throttle body there is a relearn process that needs to be performed,As for the throttle body cover kit? They are probably referring to a throtttle body gasket?You can also replace the TP sensor both of them,
