how to access codes with key and ignition

I'm not sure if the Patriot  uses the same sequence as the Jeep Wrangler but this is how its suppose to display the code "use this sequence on your ignition. Insert key and turn the ignition On-Off-On-Off then back to the On position and then  notice the codes given in the odometer read-out."

you have to get the timing right or it might not work
