The mechanic said it was the computer, but that is based on the assumption that the new sensor was ALSO good...as you said, it's possible to get a new one that is bad, especially since I ordered mine on Amazon (Denso part# 2349009 front A/F sensor upstream for California model 1998 Camry V6 motor, error code P1150).,,however these Denso's do not have any part # stamped on the part itself, only the box, so it's possible it could even be the wrong part, who knows...that's why I suggested swapping the front/rear upstream sensors..it would prove whether the problem really is the senor or not. I'm not ready to shell out $$ for a computer. The car is running quite well btw.

P1150 A/F (airflow) sensor circuit / range performance malfunction

P0125 Insufficient coolant operation for closed loop operation

This is the ECM when you get P0125 coolant operation for closed loop, this is definetly not a thermostat problem but the A/F circuit itself mainly the heater control, Where the A/F is not being seen by the ECM. Get the ECM at a salvage yard. it is less than a new A/F sensor.
