keep getting p0340 and p1283 codes over 6 months now.

Hi there,

The most common problems here are either using an aftermarket cam sensor, or replacing the wrong bank. Bank 1 is the bank closest to the firewall on this engine. The other code, P1283 is a code for the O2 sensor and if you have a P0430 as well, you may have a problem with the converter causing the 1283 code.
