P0021, added oil, pings at2000rpm, no power loss. is it camshaft position sensor?

Adding oil kept the check engine light off but it still pinged.

if your oil is dirty or low it can cause P0021 to go on.

What do you mean adding oil kept the engine light off? do you have a oil leak thats causing you to loss oil or is the car burning oil?

The oil was about 1/4 qt low which I added and the check engine light is still on.

But the pinging is still there at 2000 rpm and that is what bothers me.  The oil
level I can watch and is changed regularly using Mobil 1 5-30.  I was looking
for a relation between the P0021 and the pinging.
