The low coast solenoid valve is located inside the valve body which is inside the transmission. It is safe to the drive.

cost to repair, a transmission specialist can give you a better idea of the price. but to replace the valve body or transmission control module wont be cheap, but its possible it could be a loose wire or broken wire. They have to do some tests with a multimeter
