99 Isuzu Rodeo- Code 1404 Any knowledge of this code and inexpensive way to fix it?

Question

I have a 99 Isuzu Rodeo 2.2L.(170,000 miles(125,000 on rebuilt eng)). Just replaced head gasket. After had a po420 & p0341 code come up. replaced O2 sen.,valve gasket &wires. Did not fix Cam Pos. sensor or connector. New code now reading intermittently 1404 EGR valve closed? could Cat be damaged? out of money. Not real automotive savvy. Any advice on next step to take or home repair would be greatly appreciated. Do I need to replace valve? could camshaft have anything to do with EGR or EGR affect the earlier camshaft sen. reading PO341? Love my truck, but wondering if I should put any more $ into her.

its not very like that the egr would effect the camshaft position sensor, you can check the battery and charging system to see if its charging about 14 volts. if there is not damage to the wire or connect the  Camshaft Position Sensor is most likely faulty
