I have a 2005 Ford Five Hundred and AAMCO just said it showed a P1700 code appear on it, what does that mean?

P1700 TCM (transmission control module) detected neutral in the drive position

P1700 mean the transmission needs to be diagnosis by its symptoms, This can be no foward or reverse or even a harsh shift.
