I have a 2002 Toyota Rav 4 with a (4) cylinder engine auto trans.
My check engine light is on giving me a P420 Engine code.
Two tears ago, I did have this very same engine code and did replace the Catalytic Converter and all (4) Oxygen Sensors both upper and lower with brand new OE parts, so why am I now getting this PO420 engine code once again?
My vehicle runs great, plenty of power, starts all the time with ease.
What could be causing this to happen again in this short time?
If anyone could guide me, I would appreciate it very much.

Thank you
Larry

Thank you Reynaldo for this information, as what you are saying is true, and I have had my computer software updated back in 2008 by the Toyota Dealer.
However, it turns out that my Catalytic Converter is bad, and I have ordered a new one for my Toyota Rav 4 vehicle.

Thanks again!
Larry
