Could over-filled coolant cause P0118 Audi - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High?

This was the only code read by ODBII and coolant appears significantly higher than "Max" line on resevoir.

No a overfilled resovoir will have no effect,But a disconnected temperature sensor will set this code, either it is disconnected or internally disconnected.
