2007 Dodge RAM 3500 with code P2000, Oxides of Nitrogen Trap Efficiency Below Threshold mean? I took the truck to have it checked and the came with the engine code P2000 - Oxides of Nitrogen Trap Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1.

There are technical service bulletins for the P2000 code. Involves replacing the oxygen sensors with newer style units, and adding insulation to the front oxygen sensor to help it retain enough heat to keep the sensor clean. And there might be an PCM update as well

The P2000 indicates a problem with one of the oxygen sensors. Replacing the sensor is necessary to repair the problem. Here is a link to the code page with more information:
