I got a p1298 code on my 2003 Honda Civic LX 1.7L. I changed the ELD, checked the wiring and connections, and still have the code. What else could it be?

The P1298 error code in a 2000 Honda Civic typically indicates an issue with the "Electric Load Detector Circuit High Voltage." Replacing the Electronic Load Detector Unit is necessary to repair the problem.

You can find more information, videos, images, and how to fix the code on the following link:

its either the electronic load detector unit, wiring or ECM.

honda has a service bulletin that says replace the electronic load detector unit with part number (P/N 38250-S5A-A03

H/C 7472277)
