My transmission was fixed, and refixed and while traveling at high speeds and for 75 miles all the lights came on my dashboard, the D-light was blinking, the triangle came on, the engine light came on, I sopped at an auto zone who checked it said it was the speed sensor; the transmission guy said he "replaced" it "at his cost". Well at high speeds long distances it happened again, but this time I lost the speedometer. It went back, he said it was an "electrical" problem with the speed sensor and I should take it to Honda. I called Honda; they told me there are two speed sensors on that transmission, but they also said that the speed sensor hardly ever fails; but for $35.each and $230 labor they would change them.
If, 1. the one speed sensor was changed, what is the probability that it was even changed? 2. If it is an electrical problem with the speed sensor, I don't seem to find anything on it leaving me to believe that this 'can't be an isolated incident and something else is wrong.
Any suggestions?

P0720 Outputshaft (countershaft) speed sensor circuit malfunction

The countershaft/outputshaft indicates gear ratio. A failed outputshaft will not cause the "D" light to flash, The PRNDL switch will, and a overheating transmission will cause the "D" to flash, Leave the speed sensor alone, install a transmission cooler for now.The transmission is overheating.
