i have the code c1286 mean and how can i fix it????

my ford focus keeps turning off. when I give it gas .the code it read is c1286 booster mechanical failure..

This is not the reason for the vehicle to shut off when giving fuel,This code is for the ABS system, What helps are the "P" codes, As long as you know the conditions you can trouble shool the situation, Causes for engine to stumble on acceleration are: MAF (mass airflow), Low fuel pressure/volume,, The fuel pressure specifications are 36-65 psi
