dealer says that they need to replace the entire harness assembly and they wants $6000 to replace the harness to address theP2118 error, does it make sense?????
Was the problem actually diagnosed?
it could be a bad throttle body assembly, but I would try to clean the throttle body first, when carbon builds on the throttle plate it creates resistance on the throttle motor which can set the code on or burn the motor.
if the problem is a broken wire in the harness its possible just to fix the broken wire. if the dealer does not want to fix just the broken wire for a reasonable price ($400 max) find a independent lexus specialist on yelp or google with good reviews and he them fix it.
