P0171 for new Xterra 4.0L

Question

New SUV, at 4K miles, gave a P0171 code. Car been at dealer for about a week, but not fixed after replacing MAF sensor! what can it be?

I'm sure the dealer will figure it out. If they checked all the the steps in order, the next to do is check the injectors.

Are you using 91 octane gas? if you are using cheap low octane gas that is a possible cause 

possible causes: 

• Intake air leaks

• Air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor 1

• Fuel injector

• Exhaust gas leaks

• Incorrect fuel pressure

• Lack of fuel

• Mass air flow sensor

• Incorrect PCV hose connection
