Need some help
Have a 2005 Sprinter stuck in limp mode
after reading many threads of how to clean elctrohydraulic control unit and replace trans fluid, if still have problem change elctrohydraulic control unit, Changed control unit same 2 nd and reverse.
Can you help or advise next steps as try to do repairs my self as trips to dealer in past always end up 1000.00 or more have 2 05 and a 07 Sprinter

There are many things that can cause the vehicle to go in limp mode. Do you have any codes? without the code you will be just guessing what the problem is. AutoZone and some shop will read the code free for you.

2005 Sprinter 2500

Actron Auto Scanner CP9180    P0715 code     



No seepage transmission in wires



Looked at transmission connector at transmission, all pins in there are not pushed in

 

engine junction fuse box, fuse #1 which is a 10 amp power to and from fuse, transmission relay clicks, when key is turned on



We are not getting power (12v) to the transmission from TCM at the connector to the transmission with key is turned on (relay closed).



We took the TCM relay apart, measure the (pass through voltage (12v), at the TCM relay with key off, once the key is on (12v) goes away, the relay coil voltage still 12v (relay closed).
