My check engine light came on. I went to take it to O'Reilly to have it check. They came up with the code p0700 and p0977. What does these codes stand for?

HI there

The P0700 code only means the transmission module has requested the check engine light be lit. The P0977 points to an issue with shift solenoid B in the transmission. This can be the result of low or dirty transmission fluid or a problem with the solenoid itself.
