O734 code: Risk of Allison Xmission damage?

Question

Pulling 11,000 lb trailer. Check engine light came on immediately after 7% grade hill decent with xminssion shifted to 3rd gear from Drive. When returned to Drive, xmission slipped into neutral, then check engine light and a brief display in message center: "Range shift inhibited" came on then went off. Fluid & filter is new by dealer (1100 miles) and level is normal in HOt mode. Shifts normally after event.

first thing I would if the car is running fine now, is erase the code and if it comes back than I would worry about it.
