Hi there,

This code could be the result of a few things. First, check the engine oil. If it's low then the solenoid will not work properly and it will throw this code. Mechanical timing could be off. A faulty cam sensor can cause this code if it's not reporting a timing change when it should be happening. The solenoid itself could be bad and not working. The PCM may not be seeing the advance due to a wiring problem.
