On my 2006 Mercury Milan 6 Cyl, can I reprogram my key because the car won't start? I got the code B1601, can i fix it without the dealer's help?

Unfortunately, you can't reprogram the key yourself, but you don't have to go to the dealer either, any locksmith or independent shop with the tool can reprogram the key for you.
