need help getting engine to start. system has a code p1626 . no past problems.

P1629 Loss of serial communication with VTD (Vehicle theft deterent)

You have a loss of communication with the VTD , you will need to check for code U1192, if you have P1629 and U1192 you have a wiring problem with the VTD and VCM , if only P1629 is showing on the scan tool then you have a malfunction with the passlock module, You can either replace and reprogram the VTD or disable the VTD, but you will need to have the vehicle running, Put the key in the ignitin, ensure the battery has a good charge or use jumper cables or a battery booster, leave the key in the run position for 10 minutes, when the anti theft light goes out start the vehicle, , Access the ignition wire at the passlock system you will see three wires one will be yellow, with the car running cut the yellow wire, this diables the passlock system permanetly even if you change the battery of the vehicle

I've been unable to get the engine to start and stay running,only when performing the ten minute test.Then it only stays running until the fuel shuts off. Please explain how to get it running so I can cut the yellow wire. Thanks for your help.
