Best answer
P0340 Camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction

You will encounter what is best described as a rolling stall, another one is a chattering noise at the camsensor  which tends to dry up and rust at the sensor cap, this is wha causes most common sensor failure, where the signal becomes intermittent, P0340 can also code up when the vehcile is excessively cranked, with or without  a no start.
