2007 ford edge error p0704 says clutch pedal position switch but it has automatic transmission

The way scan tools works is it has a set of inormation in it  already and matches the code with the vehicle, Most scantool ask if it is a automatic transmission,and a VIN input requirement, Just because you have a invalid code does not mean you dont have a problem that the ECM detected, If anything you have P0709 which is the PRNDL or what is known as the transmission range selector,
