2009 Ford Escape Hybrid diagnostic code P2450, how can this be corrected?

My 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid service engine light came on the other day, I ran the diagnostic and received code P2450. I have been unable to find anything online that indicates how to correct this issue, has anyone else come across this issue? Any guidance would be appreciated.

P2450 Evaporative emission control system switching valve performance or stuck open

The way this works the PCM commands the fuel vapor vent valve close while a vacuum is presesnt in the fuel tank and opens the canister vent , if the fuel vapor vent does not close , the vacuum in the tank is lost quickly, which exceed a calibrated time and cause the PCM to code P2450. Start by inspecting your gas cap, other than that a failed vent valve will need to be replaced as the solution.
