The Throttle position sensor was replaced and the problem went away for a few days then returned. How can the TPS be adjusted? The directions supplied with the new sensor are just to replace as the old senor was installed, no adjustment implied.

Vehicle: 2000, Ford, Focus, 2lt. Zretc

There is no adjustment,The throttle position sensor usually fails in the cruise position, What you can do is make sure the throttle is not binding, there is no false air such as MAF (mass air flow) air duct affecting its performance,and the connection are making good contact,
