Cat and Evap lights blinking unable to pass smog in Ca,Ford Escape 01

No check engine on, ligths blinking on an OBD machine unable to smog vehicle.

Light blinking on OBD smog machine?How does the vehicle run? Check your gas cap for proper sealing. would like to hear more of this. I will search for a solution for this with more info.

Car runs good no issues,no check engine unable to pass smog no codes on OBD how ever two blinking balls Cat and Evap, replace most engine components drove the vehicle over two hundred miles to see if it clear codes and nothing blinking Cat and Evap still blink when OBD connected can you help please.

What this means is the monitor are not set, to set the monitor you need to have 1/4 fuel to 3/4 fuel, you should have to drive it that far to set monitor ,unless  you have a pending code. Can you gather a pending code? What happening and why you can not get the catalyst monitor to set has to do with the EVAP. Either the EVAP is trying to run and is failing, Without the EVAP running the catalyst monitor will not run, When you are on your drive what is the temperature on the gauge.

The temp sensor gets to a little less than half, runs great,just that issue the blinking cat and Evap no codes at all show up or stored  changed the Evap circuit module drove the vehicle, clean out the air trottle and drove with lights and ac On for more than five min how ever still unable to keep RPM at 2500 for smog and also the issue on top Thanx.

Unable to keep the RPM at 2500, so the test is 2 speed idle or non enhanced ,to  your advantage replace the thermostat,
