P0458 - will a bad gas cap cause this code

Can p0458 code be because of loose gas cap?

P0458 Evaporative purge solenoid circuit low

Will a loose cause P0458, Yes it can , and there the No it can. When you get circuit low one of two event takes place, The ECM monitor the voltage feedback . It looks for open short and grounds, The purge solenoid will turn on and off once every ignition cycle. If the ECM see a voltage that is lower  than prescibe you get P0458.Which is a low voltage, or a shorted purge solenoid.The loose gas cap can cause this code and this would be a rational code
