P0340 KIA - Changed Sensor 2 times and still faults after so many miles

Question

I have changed the sensor with a new 1 twice, the OBD2 reader still logs a Pending and then a P0340 Fault. Can you give me any ideas on what is going on and any possible fixes? Thank you, John

john. this is common run into all the time ..check the harness at cam sensor it probably has a short into the harness. .check for breaks may be tought to find without. a power probe ..test harness at sensor ..wiggle wires if lose power or ground suspect falty harness. .find break and repair ..clear codes and u should have problem solved. .hope this helps some ..
