P1193 HYUNDAI - Why no check engine lite?, lite works.

05 santa fe 4x4 3.5L, no ck. eng. lite , p1193 , only code displayed. The 4x4 icon flashes at times with the tcs lite coming on. Both problems connected?

The engine light is not ON because the problem had to happen more that one time in order to trigger the light. If the problem happens more than one time then the control unit will turn the light ON. The P1193 code is for the Electronic Throttle System (ETS) Motor problem and it's probably related to the 4x4.
