would it be smart to replace the TPS if it is over volted, or is there some other problem leading to the incorrect volts? Battery and cable have been checked and are in good condition so no problem with them. only code that the car is kicking out is "P0123" which as ive come to find out is an issue with the TPS. i Think its bad and needs to be removed and replaced however i unplugged it and the car still fires up and runs, although it was only running about 750RPMS(not even a grand). Do i really need this part?
P0123 TPS sensor voltage high
When you get a code that the defintion is voltage high, You basically have a disconnection. When the throttle blades are at rest the voltage is low, when the throttle blades are open the voltage goes high. You measure the signal voltage, yes the vehicle will run and acclerate without a TPS connected,
