P0401 2001 HONDA ACCORD -

Question

I received an OB2 code on my 2001 honda accord coupe and the smog technician told me that I had the wrong catalyic converter on my car, but I explained to him that, that has never been changed. Have any sugguestions as to what may be wrong with my car.

Hi there,

This code is for the egr system on the car and has nothing to do with the catalytic converter. This code mean the sensor for the egr isn't working properly or that the egr tube is clogged. This could affect the emissions on the catalytic converter.
