P0316 -Only with P0304 (number 4 cylinder) on 2004 Ranger 3.0 V6

Why would a possible bad crank sensor (P0316) repeatedly occur only with one cylinder (P0304 #4) and continue after a new spark plug was installed? Is the problem more likely with the coil pack?

Yes it can be or a bad cylinder head, do a cylinder efficiency test on the cylinder in question
