Hi, my name is John and I have a problem with mk2 1997 Ford Mondeo 1.8 petrol (engine with EGR) start the car and the saturated sit idle between 1500 and 2000 rpm (even if it's cold or hot), the task (in any speed) do not draw after 2000 rpm (yes symptoms much gasoline carburetor), I put on other cars MAF functional and has the same symptoms. Remove the plug from the MAF if the car sits under 500 rpm or stops (when such) and shoot very well, I put the car on the tester and gave me two errors OBDII and P0102. What can I do?

Vehicle: 1997, ford, mondeo mk II, 1,8 petrol

Hi John,

This indicates either a wiring issue to the maf sensor or a possible issue with a vacuum leak after the maf sensor. This is usually a wiring problem however with a lack of power to the maf.
