1998 nissan pathfinderb engine sounds like its not getting enough gas and almost starts but it doesn't.and my codes read p1605. what is my solution?

The P1605 code means that the Engine Control Module (ECM) is not communicating with the Transmission Control Module (TCM), but that may not cause the the no start situation. Unfortunately there are many thing things that can cause the no start situation. Here is a list of the possible causes:

- Key problem:  Bad or not reprogram key (If the security light stays ON, then the problem is probably the key)

- Fuel Pump

- Fuel pump relay or fuse

- Distributor
