P0340 Camshaft postion sensor circuit malfunction

The purpose of the cam position sensor is to synchronize the fuel injector,It has nothing to do with the spark, You can code up P0340 with excessive cranking, so make sure this is not a anti theft issue, other than that,move to the crank postion sensor, The crank position sensor must be properly lined up, That can cause P0340 but the vehicle will start, To only have spark 2 times then die,make sure the ignition switch isnt at fault, Power to the coil can get interrupted by a faulty igntion switch,
