I got the code P1756 on my 2002 Dodge Dakota 3.9L, how do ya fix it? and where is it at?

P1756  Governor pressure not equal to target



Check the fuse for this first its listed as fuse "F" it is a 20 amp, There is also a relay swap it it out with the A/C . If everything check out you will need a govenor pressure solenoid, What causes this to fail is debris in the transmission as there screen plugs very easy, If you want to replace it remove transmission pan and transmission filter remove the 4 bolts and retaining clip and wire, remove install new ,govenor solenoid, install new transmission filter (or reuse) add transmission fluid, ATF +4 is required, clear code test drive.P1756 is very popular on your truck,so make it a hobby
