2003 Honda Civic Hybrid with engine code P1639, how to repair this code?

P1600 IMA system malfunction

P1639 MOTB signal circuit malfunction

For P1600 this just tell you you have a IMA code stored in the PCM, For P1639 ,this is mainly an intermmitent condition,clear this code and if it reset, you will need to get the latest ECM sofware.

had same problem latest software didnt repair problem any other ideas also battery for ima system has been replaced. code p1639 and charge light on

You are going to have to test the motor control module for open short and ground, If you can substitute a known working motor control module, if the symptom goes away replace the ECM.
