I changed transmission 2 times now on a 2001 kia rio automatic tranny, the first tranny was bad so we changed it then the second was bad so we bought a rebuilt transmission but now the second swap of transmission and now the car wont start, the diagnostic is reading the code p0604, the first couple times we tried it we noticed we missed a ground wire, but we have plugged everything back in and it still wont start, what else could it possibly be. Coil packs lack electricity from 1 and 3 but spark from 2 and 4. Im not sure if that's normal or if there are fualty coil packs, however since the Power control module shot a code maybe that could be the cause of the coil packs to not fire.

P0604 TCM (Transmission control module) malfunction

This may have something to do with the ground wire, clear and retest.other than that a known good subsitute TCM should be installed, As for the no start the firing order is 1342 1 and 4 are paired if 4 fire number 1 fire also, same with 2 and 3, you have a faulty coil.
