I have a 07 Chevy Colorado 4WD 5.0cyl. On my way back from a convention in Texas to Ft Polk LA my RPMs jumped to 4300 at 65 MPH as well as my check engine light. Previously I had a transmission fluid leak which stopped and I lost approx 2 qt of fluid over 2 months and I replaced it with 4 qt as my dipstick was showing low. As I get to a stop light I drive normally when it hits 3rd gear it jumps from 2100 to 6100 RPM and continues to stay there until I hit 45 mph then jumps hard then continues on to 65 mph. I turn on my cruise control and it jumps hard again going back to 4300 rpm. I turn into an Autozone and check the code and it comes up as P0741. I can shift manualy from 1st and 2nd but once I hit 3rd RPMs skyrocket and I have to go to 2nd then to OD. I could really use some help, as for being in the army I need a set of wheels to get to where I need. Any and all intell you can get me would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to call in possible at (919) 720-0082

P0741 Torque convertor clutch (TCC) circuit performance or stuck off
Check the fuse, The TCC is a fused circuit, which also power the speed sensor and shift solenoids. At the engine fuse junction box fuse #24 is a 10 amp fuse
