I have a 2007 Ford F150 supercab 4x4 , 5.4l auto, I posted 2 questions recently this week and finally after going through 2 garages they mentioned it has to be the powertrain control module(PCM) and Ford is the only place that can put it in? Now that Ford in my town is closed until Monday, The big question comes to my head: How much does that part cost? and what it takes to put it in? And is the Ford dealership the only place that can put it in? Reason I ask, I am trying to avoid the $150 per hour labor cost they charge!!! Thankyou for your answers

The price for a 2007 Ford F150 4x4 5.4 is about  $500.00 to $ 700.00. it take 1/2 hour just to install, The PCM needs to be reprogrammed, You will also need all the availble keys to be reprogramed with it, If no shop in your area has a pass thru reprogrammer then your stuck going to the dealer.
