My truck died on my wife the other day and the guy that had the record scanned it with multiple codes in which most of them went towards the tranny, so I decided to have it pulled to a auto repair and transmission shop all in one. I never had an issue with tranny at all, But first things first we have to get it running, well the transmission shop gave me a call today and said they do not have the right software for my truck and I need to get it to Ford to fix the problem, and of course I would like to avoid Ford service costs. Does anyone have any knowledge on this or what my next step should be, some of the codes that pop up is p0141,p0161,p0740,p0743,p0748,p0750,p0753,p0755, I posted a question here a few days ago right when it happened and some one answered me to check fuse 33 and fuse2? and some relay ? I have not checked any fuses for which my truck wasnt by me at that time! Do you think that the transmission shop checked them? Please any information greatly appreciated. Thanks

You cannot have all these codes!.Unless you have a TCM (transmission control module) disconnected, These transmission code will not cause a NO start,  it took out the fuse that is realted to the fuel pump ,The worst you have is a transmsission solenoid that has shorted out blowing a fuse for the PCM.You dont have a transmission concern. You have a electrical problem. Do they need the software to read the data ,Yes, Todays powertrain is electronically controlled, If they want you to go to the dealer, It maybe better, You have a short only, just ask what fuse is open and go from there. In my own opinoin, they just read a code.If you rebuild or replace the transmission you went the wrong way
