P1492 Ambient /Battery temperature sensor volts too high

This sensor is used for the charging system, it controls the battery rate of charge, when temperature is cold you will get a higher rate of charge, when warmer temperature you get a lower rate of charge, This is a important sensor, it enables and disables certain inputs such as leak detection pump (EVAP) ,02 heater sensor,You also affect the transmission temperature sensor, which affects the shift quality, and convertor lock up,The TCM (transmission control module) requires this information.Without this sensor your transmission is on subsituted actual temperature.which will come from different inputs.
