P0440 DODGE - Will this cause engine stall when slowing or stopping?

Question

Stalls out when slowing to stop or soon after stop. Only code is P0440. I have replaced gas cap and inspected all lines/hoses. Replaced Purge Valve Solenoid

P0440  Evaporative control system malfunction

P0440 is a general EVAP system failure and should of been accompanied by another code in the EVAP system, It can not cause the engine to stall unless your vacuum hose is incorrect.(due to your vehicle being a speed density which  use a MAP sensor).Your IAC is more likely to to cause you to stall out when slowing or stopping,it regulates the amount of air entering the intake which determines engine RPM, you can do a throttle body cleaning this should help the stalling, P0440 is more of a EVAP canister problem The reason is the NVDL is the first to detect problem in the EVAP system
