P0128  cooling system malfunction

Check the radiator fan does it keep running? This will cause it to code up.Hows the terminal connection? Poor mating or loose connection will cause it to code up. If everthing is fine and there is no other DTC with it, .You need to update the ECM with the latest software. As for the coolant question I have to say if Honda recommends it then I have to agree, But I used Prestone inHondas in your particular years with no problem and just to let you know P0128  is a common problem that plaque Honda.
