P0335 TOYOTA - vehicle shuts off when there is a change in rpm's...

2012 camry
vehicle occasionally has difficulty starting, but runs fine except when you shift from a gear to park or neutral. it then seems like it loses rpm's and shuts off. is this the Crankshaft sensor or maybe a short? how would I determine?

P0335 This is crank position sensor "A" intermittent, What "A" is is the reference voltage. intermittent. Here are some of the condition to code up. No CKP signal to ECM while cranking, Missing CKP while engine is running, Missing CKP signal despite VVT signal inputs normal after engine crank, Open or short in the CKP,also ECM. How would you determine,a labscope showing the waveform,this will also show the CKP plate conition.Another way is code reader,You have the correct code for the symptom you desribe,
